6 www.glancda.org W e hope you will consider joining us on June 21 at the Universal Sheraton for our annual dealer member meeting/luncheon. The program is shaping up to be both entertaining, and informative. Kris Pronto is our keynote speaker, and will share his “courage under fire” experience at Benghazi while under attack for thirteen hours. The legislative sessions in Washington D.C. and Sacramento have been active with issues that impact new car dealerships. The role of the association communicating the positive or negative impacts of specific legislation with elected officials, continues to be one of the biggest benefits of membership. On the state level, the need to get electronic contracting aligned with Federal Law has been a high priority. The new administration in our nations capital has shaken things up quite a bit. Continued focus on taxation issues, and issues that impact dealers ability to price loans , make for interesting and ongoing dialogue with members of congress. When you see training opportunities for dealership employees, we encourage your participation. We have carefully vetted the people who lead these seminars and webinars. Staying current and relevant, while upholding the standards of excellence in the automobile industry, is our commit- ment to our dealer members with the training we provide. I look forward to sitting and visiting with you in the dealership, and identifying ways to work together.
