6 Issue 2 2019 GLANCDA and Ellis Family Dealerships Present Donation to Glendale Youth Alliance O n Tuesday, September 10, the Glendale Youth Alliance was presented with a grant check for $15,000. GYA is a nonprofit or- ganization that pro- v ides comprehensive employ- ment programs for youth ages 14 -24. Si nce 1993, GYA has made a meaningful impact in the lives of over 10,500 youth by preparing them for the future workforce and breaking the cy- cle of poverty. GYA has over 26 years of experience in pro- viding comprehen- sive ser vices and pat hways to em- ployment to special populations of youth including: at-risk, fos- ter, disabled, parenting, probation and homeless youth. These groups gener- ally have a harder time enter- ing the workforce. GYA not only provides employment opportunities, but also offers comprehensive services to meet their personal needs. By giving youth the skills and experience they need to remain above poverty levels, we are investing in a healthy and prosperous future for the youth and our community. Since 2002, Glendale Youth Alli- ance, in partnership with local com- munity businesses and agencies, has granted 106 scholarships to graduating seniors who are interested in pursu- ing higher education. Th r oug h ou r p r o - grams, many youth have been hired on a permanent basis at various depart- ments of the City of Glendale, many retail outlets, and many other profes- sional organizations. GL A NC DA i s proud to partner with organizations like GYA, and will continue to work on behalf of the entire Los Angeles area Franchise New Car Dealer Community, to identify and support worthy charitable entities in the area. 
